Every family’s questions and experiences are different, and it’s completely normal to want a bit more clarity before deciding what feels right for you.

I’ve answered the most common ones here, but if yours isn’t on the list, just reach out through the contact form. I’m always happy to chat.

FAQs

I’ve tried everything. How will this be different?

At Sleepy Smalls Co., I take an integrated, whole-child approach. Sleep doesn’t exist in isolation, it’s connected to nutrition, sensory needs, emotional wellbeing, daily rhythms, and your child’s stage of development. I look at how all of these pieces work together, and where we can gently re-align them.

I’ve also built a trusted network of medical and allied health professionals, so if extra support is needed, I can help connect you with the right people. Instead of offering a one-size-fits-all plan, I work alongside you to create strategies that truly fit your family’s values, needs, and capacity, support that feels realistic, respectful, and responsive.

Are your methods evidence-based?

All of my strategies are grounded in current sleep science, child development research, and the principles of respectful, responsive parenting. I work with your child’s nervous system, never against it.

How do I know if I need a sleep consultant?

If you're feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck in a cycle that isn’t working for your family, it might be time for extra support. You don’t need to wait for a crisis, sleep support is for every kind of family, at every stage.

Do you use Cry It Out Method?

Sleepy Smalls Co. uses responsive, attachment-aware and neuroaffirming approaches that centre your child’s wellbeing and your values as a parent. Cry It Out (CIO) is not part of our usual practice. However if a family wishes to explore it, we can ensure it’s done safely, with empathy and support... Zero judgement here.

Can I work with you if I’m not sure my child is neurodivergent?

Absolutely. You don’t need a diagnosis, or even a concern to access support. Many families just want a little help understanding their smalls' sleep (and the numerous changes and disruptions along the way!), and that’s exactly what we’re here for.

What happens after I take the quiz?

You’ll get personalised suggestions based on your answers. That might be a guide, a consult, or a product to support your next steps — no pressure, just helpful options.

Can I bring my child to the consult?

Yes. If we're meeting in person, smalls are always welcome to join! Observing your child during the consultation helps us to get to know them and their needs better. The clinic space is child-friendly, with plenty to keep them entertained while we chat... and we expect a bit of messy chaos — we’re parents of little people too.

Where do consults take place?

I offer in-person consults from our Dampier consulting clinic, as well as in the comfort of your own home if you prefer. Phone or online support is also available if that is preferred or for families located beyond our local Pilbara area.

Do you offer follow-up support?

After our consult, you’ll receive a written summary of our time together so you have clear next steps to follow. From there, you can choose the type of support that suits you best when and if you need it — online, in person, or in clinic.

I also offer ongoing 1:1 support packages ranging from one week of check-in support via text, through to two or even four weeks of personalised follow-up. This gives you time to put strategies into practice, ask questions as they come up, and adjust things together so the support truly works for your family.

How long does it take to see results?

That depends on your child’s needs and your family’s capacity. Some families see change in a few days, others may take several weeks. The goal isn’t perfection, but progress that feels sustainable for your whole household.

What age do you work with?

Sleepy Smalls Co. supports families from birth through to 12 years old, with developmentally tailored support for newborns, toddlers, school-aged children, and neurodivergent kids.

Can I buy individual resources without booking a consult?

You sure can. Our online shop includes sleep guides, ebooks, sensory tools and more. All designed to help you make small, impactful changes at your own pace.
